We've had the Oregon Scientific WMR968 on top of the pergola in the garden since 2001. With its solar panels to keep each of the sensors working it's required zero maintenance other than cleaning the leaves out of the rain guage once a year. The receiver is hooked to a PC via a serial cable and with Ambient Weather's software I get automatic data logging and the ability to create the data shown below. A link to raw data is given above. |

Rainfall totals in California have become a concern as the last two years have been officially drought years. Even here in the Bay Area water rationing is a real possibility this year unless water consumption is cut by 20% or so. This year is off to a good start but hopefully many more rainy days to come (saying that seems so odd to me). |
